Championship pilots showcase competition flying in two IAC categories — giving you a front-row look at precision aerobatics and how judges evaluate each performance.

Sportsman · IAC Demo

Jeff Boerboon

U.S. National Unlimited Aerobatic Champion and Captain of the U.S. Unlimited Aerobatic Team. Jeff has represented the United States in international competition and has been selected to multiple U.S. Aerobatic Teams in both Advanced and Unlimited. For the IAC Demo he flies in the Sportsman category aboard AURA AERO's Integral R, an aerobatic trainer with side-by-side seating.

A championship pilot, airshow performer, and airline captain based in Cave Creek, Arizona, Jeff competes and performs in the Extra 330SC and is co-creator and pilot of the Yak-110. He is widely respected for precision flying, technical expertise, and mentoring the next generation of aerobatic pilots.

Intermediate · IAC Demo

Michael “Mike” Lents

U.S. National Champion (Advanced) and three-time USA Advanced Aerobatic Team member. Mike flies in the Intermediate category in the University of North Dakota Super Decathlon, the same aircraft used by the UND Aerobatic Team he coaches.

An Associate Professor of Aviation at UND, Master CFI of Aerobatics, and IAC Board member, Mike has coached the UND team to 12 National Collegiate Championships. He won IAC Nationals in Intermediate in 2021, placed 5th at the World Advanced Aerobatic Championships, and is known for extracting maximum performance from the Super Decathlon on the competition circuit.

Engage with technology

When the IAC Demo starts, get hands-on with ACROWRX real-time telemetry — the same platform used by competition and airshow pilots for flight evaluation and improvement. Follow each flight from multiple angles and score the performance alongside the crowd.

Three views are available:

Aresti Code

You'll see the Aresti Code — a diagram that represents the maneuver the pilot is flying. Think of it as the “sheet music” for an aerobatic pilot.

Scoring

Score each pilot's performance with one overall grade for the flight. It's a great way to participate in the demo — submit as many times as you like during the session; only your last submission is counted. All scoring is anonymous.
